Meshtastic Texting Radio Device
I will not be selling them
This device was made to be a portable off-grid communication method for my wife and I to use for backcountry adventures. It uses the open source meshtastic technology to form a mesh network over LoRa radio frequency to allow for text messages to be transmitted between devices with the meshtastic app when paired to your phone via bluetooth. It magnets to the back of your phone with a magsafe ring making it nice and portable.
This device is an open source device the real credit goes to the Meshtastic team and phspman.
After testing in the austere mountains of Idaho I've determined that I will not be moving forward with the project or any other LoRa devices. In the dense ponderosa forest where I live the range is just not enough to be effective for my purposes. Many have reported that the range is much greater in flat open country, however that is little use to me. I will not be selling this device, i'm sorry! I do have a number of cases printed if you're still interested in pursuing this project. It's still very educational and interesting technology.

I'd recommend reading more about the meshtastic technology here.
